At the SIHH 2017 we have assisted at the launch of the collection Clifton Club, the watch made for the “gentlesportsmen”, born from a partnership between Baume & Mercier and the American car company: Shelby American. Baume & Mercier wanted to create the perfect watch for the man of today, a man that keeps himself busy with his job and his sports passion, a “sport chic” watch, designed to be worn all day long.

Continuing on the same tracks, the Swiss watchmaker has celebrated a new partnership with the American brand of motorcycles: The Indian Motorcycle.

So here’s the new CLIFTON CLUB INDIAN® BURT MUNRO TRIBUTE, a limited edition mechanical watch with a self-winding, born to celebrate the incredible record of Burt Munro, the professional driver who, in 1967 in Bonneville Salt Flats, set an astonishing record. In fact, he was able to reach the 296,11 km/h, that’s why there are only 1967 pieces, recalling the year that Munro set his iconic record.

The CLIFTON CLUB INDIAN® BURT MUNRO TRIBUTE features a number of special details designed to commemorate the hero Burt Munro. Immediately apparent is the large, yellow number 35, Munro’s lucky number, and also the silver color sandblasted dial that reminds at the Bonneville Salt Flats, where the record has been settled. Next, the “Indian Red” color of the calfskin strap evokes the deep vermillion shade that is identified with the Indian Motorcycle Company, and the color of the Munro Special.

On the back, the famous Indian Headdress logo of the Indian Motorcycle Company is engraved, as well as the sentence “One out of 1967”. This official Indian Motorcycle watch, is the symbol of the enduring passion that characterized Baume & Mercier, and it’s a reminder that anything is possible with enough grit and determination.

CLIFTON CLUB INDIAN® LEGEND TRIBUTE SCOUT

Here’s the second limited edition watch launched by Baume & Mercier after his partnership with the Indian Motorcycle. Created for the lovers of the speed, the sport and above all of the street.
This self-winding mechanical timepiece pairs the urbane appeal of a brown calfskin strap with the depth precision of a racing-inspired open-worked slate-gray and black dial.
The stainless steel case is stamped on the back with the Indian Motorcycle logo, the immediately recognizable “I”, and the date disc displays “1901” at the 19th day of the month to recall Indian Motorcycle foundation’s date.
