After 63 years, on Sunday June 10 2018, the motor racing made its great return to Switzerland, with the Formula E Grand Prix. It has been an historic and futuristic event, promoted by TAG Heuer, , the famous brand of luxury watches.

The exciting E-Prix, with cars 100% electric took place in Zurich, Switzerland on the new circuit Julius Baer that hit the streets of the Swiss city.
Jean-Claude Biver, TAG Heuer’s CEO and founding partner of the FIA Championship Formula E since 2014 and Fathi Derder, Swiss National Councillor, guided this Round 10 of the championship.

On the racetrack, on board of the 20 electric cars, the best pilots like Nelson Piquet, Edoardo Mortara and Sébastien Buemi, have raced showing their skills and cold-blood.
The race has been timed by TAG Heuer, who at the end has declared the winner Lucas Di Grassi from Audi Sport Abt Schäffler.

“We are thrilled to continue our role as a Partner and Official Timekeeper of this competition, particularly in Switzerland. Through our efforts, and those of other partners such as Julius Baer, we have succeeded in ensuring the return of racing to a Swiss circuit” –  Jean-Claude Biver, CEO of TAG Heuer.

Symbol of the precision in timing, TAG Heuer had the honor to be an important part of the event, combining its watchmaking savoir-faire and its motor racing DNA, already present in many of its watches. To celebrate this exciting event, TAG Heuer decided to create the new TAG Heuer Formula 1, a sport watch reinterpreted with the classic Gulf colors to celebrate the greatest moments of motor racing’s history. The dial of 43mm is blue with Gulf stripes orange and light blue, whereas the strap is a blue calf skin strap with asphalt texture.

The movement is a TAG Heuer quartz movement, one of the most reliable and accurate made in Switzerland. On the case there is a special engraving: the GULF logo.
Born for those who are passionate about sport, this watch is waterproof until 200 m.
